HALO
HALO is a long-term home for homeless teenage girls in and around our community from the ages of 16-21 years old. These teens do not have a stable, safe place to call home. They move from house to house, couch to couch, night after night until finally, they are no longer welcome at any of these homes. They sleep in shelters, tents, and cars. Some of these girls are pregnant, some are not, some are already mothers with young children, but all of them come to us needing a safe place to live, and lots of love and support. HALO believes every child should have a home.
Mid Mo Maker Labs
My name is Brett Welschmeyer, an IT Manager and entrepreneur living in Jefferson City for most of my life. Jefferson City has a community of people that have many ideas and interest, and many of them don't even know what talents or skills they have. Not by choice, but lack of hands-on learning or places to really dig in and experiment and have some fun creating unique inventions. This is the main reason why I started to lay the foundations for Mid Mo Maker Labs.
