Q. What is the name of your business and why?
JC Total Health. We encompass "Total Health" and wellness when treating our patients. It's important to focus on the health of the entire patient while balancing hormones to optimize patient health.
Q. When did your business get started? Motivation factors? What were you doing before? How did friends and family feel?
I opened JC Total Health last year May of 2018. I have always felt I have an entrepreneurial mindset, and
after working for corporate practices I wanted the opportunity to decide how to treat patients my way, with
caring, understanding,and patience. My goal is to spend as much time as necessary to ensure patients understand their treatment options, and individualize their care.
Q. What has been your biggest failure/struggle? And how did you overcome it?
My biggest struggle has been learning how to market myself, so patients know what we have to offer them.Were still learning, but parterning with JC Magazine has helped us immensely.
Q. How do you define success and how do you celebrate a win?
An extremely satisfied patient, who we have helped feel much better is our definition of success and to celebrate a win we play our favorite records!

Knowing how to assemble the correct team

Q. What is your favorite part of your job?
Watching peoples lives change, as they feel better.
Q. What kind of culture exists in your company and how did you establish it?
We try to have a fun, relaxed atmosphere, while maintaining professionalism.
Over the years I have learned the importance of recognizing employees strengths. Treating staff and patients with respect fosters a trust between all that I believe are necessary when providing healthcare.
Q. What are your future goals?
1 year= double our patient volume
5 year= open second location in Columbia, MO
10 year= continue to build on our current success and further expand services

Believe in your dream and seek out advise from people you respect, do your research, but don't let anyone dissuade you. Be willing to make adjustments to your business plan as you go.
