Intention Candles are here!

We know…it’s been a while!

For those of you who don’t know, let me catch you up. Almost three years ago to the day, Missy and I started this blog with the mission to show off all the wonderful and unique features and people of Jefferson City. We wanted to give people an answer when they asked themselves the question, “Where should I go for XYZ in Jefferson City?” Or, “What’s there to do in Jefferson City?” So we created this blog to do just that, and it was amazing. We got to meet so many new people and learn so much about the city we both grew up in.

About a year and a half later, we were presented with the opportunity to become owners in Jefferson City Magazine. We couldn’t believe it! This not only went along with our mission to help others appreciate everything we have in our hometown, but it gave us an even bigger, more established, platform. It was a perfect fit!

After owning the magazine and continuing to help local businesses with their branding and digital marketing at Dogwood Social, our journey recently brought us back to this blog. One morning we scheduled a strategic planning meeting at my house, and Missy came in with her creative juices flowing. She had the idea the night before of creating candles. Not just any candles, but candles that had scents associated with different intentions like working hard, getting results, and being grateful. We even had the perfect partner in mind to help us achieve this endeavor, Unique Creations Candle Bar.

If you don’t know, Missy and I both love goal setting, learning how to be better and more efficient, and apparently, giving ourselves more to do. 😜

When she told me her idea, it was full steam ahead. To say I loved the idea was an understatement. Not only do I love burning candles (which is part of my daily routine and just makes me happy), but I loved the message and the purpose behind these candles! This new venture gave me that giddy excitement I hadn’t felt in a while, and we were both all in.

That’s where this new chapter begins…

Intention candles are all about setting your intention for that moment and being fully present with what you are about to accomplish. Our hope is that when you have a big idea you are working on or taking time to write down what you are grateful for, these scents inspire you to be fully in the moment and intentional.

We all know that scents trigger certain memories, but did you know they also trigger intense emotion? With that information, we wanted to create scents that put people in the mindset of what they are trying to accomplish. If someone is starting a new entrepreneurial project we created endless possibilities. This candle was purposefully given a scent associated with fearlessness because we want you to associate it with acknowledging your fears, ignoring them, and really going for it! Whatever it is you are trying to accomplish, we hope this smell empowers you to give it your all!

Other times, we all need a break and downtime. For these moments, taking an hour was created. This was made with the sweet scent of self-care. Our vision was for this to be lit when you are reading a book, taking a bath, or snuggling your loved ones by the fireplace.

We have created six scents that are available in three different colored jars: black, white, and copper.

Whatever you are trying to do and accomplish, our goal is to give you a scent that puts you in the perfect mindset and headspace for that activity. When all the layers are peeled back, the most important thing we want from these candles is to help you be the best version of yourself.

As always, thank you for supporting this blog and our journey.
