A Teenage Guide to Jeff City

My sisters, Molly and Libby, and I - along with Molly’s friends, Lauren and Natalie - recently took an adventure around Jefferson City. We began our afternoon of adventure at the Pat Jones Pedestrian Bridge across the beautiful Missouri River. In the mid afternoon traffic, the bridge was a little shaky, especially when a huge 18-wheeler comes racing by. Libby was kind of freaked out by this, claiming that she thought that the bridge was going to fall...lol.

I am so glad that we took a little extra time to go over there. The view of the city is amazing from the other side of the Missouri River.

As we continued our walk across, we laughed and took LOTS of pictures...I mean LOTS (along with some pretty great video footage). The winding way down to the Katy Trail on the other side of the bridge definitely took the longest. Once we reached the bottom, the walk to the Noren River Access was short, so we decided to walk over there. I am so glad that we took a little extra time to go over there. The view of the city is amazing from the other side of the Missouri River.

By the time we were done seeing the view, all of us were hungry for a sweet treat. We decided that a local frozen yogurt shop, YoYums, was the perfect way to satisfy our craving. If you have never had the YoYums experience, it is basically a self serve frozen yogurt shop where you get to create your own bowl of goodies and pay by the ounce. They have new flavors everyday and plenty of toppings to choose from. It took us probably less than 5 minutes to eat all of our yogurt. I would have to say it was a very successful afternoon of spending time with my favorite people! Comment below with your favorite activities to do with your friends in Jefferson City!
