"Where should we go to eat?"
A question we've all spent way too much time trying to figure out.
We thought this wouldn't be a proper city blog if we didn't highlight some of the most-liked restaurants in town and with Valentine's Day right around the corner, we thought we'd start with the "Reservation Worthy." If you're a visitor, this is a solid list of some of Jefferson City's staple restaurants.
If you're a local, we're fairly certain you're familiar with these, but sometimes we forget about things that are in our backyard. Hopefully, this list makes the age-old question a little easier. Without further ado...
Madison's Cafe
If you are looking for a blend of American and Italian cuisine, Madison's is the place for you! Their house salad is kind of a big deal. Located downtown, this restaurant provides a fun, yet relaxing, atmosphere. It's perfect for sitting down, enjoying a glass of wine, and dinner with someone you love. On a nice day, their patio is the place to be.
The Grand Cafe
This gem is located right on High Street in downtown Jefferson City. The Grand serves dishes such as Roasted Lambchops, Wasabi Dusted Tuna, Duck Breast, and so much more. Whether you are on a lunch date or going out for a nice dinner, you can't go wrong here. Try their Breakroom Frites! Oh. My. Gosh.
Domenico's Restaurant & Catering
If you are in the mood to eat at a steakhouse with an Italian influence, head on over to Domenico's Restaurant & Catering. Located on West Truman Blvd, this place not only has great food, but a veteran staff that provides amazing service.
Arris' Bistro and Liquid Lounge
This place is amazing from drinks to dessert! This casual, fine-dining restaurant provides great food with European influence. The atmosphere is perfect for a date or a night out with friends. Try the Olga's Kool-Aid!
O'Donoghue's Steaks and Seafood
If you are looking for a great place to sit back and relax for date night, look no further. This restaurant not only serves great food, but serves as a historical building brought back to life. This building has been renovated and restored, but the charm remains.
hunan Chinese restaurant
This has been one of my favorite restaurants since high school. I remember going to here and stuffing ourselves before our Friday night football games. Hunan makes Chinese food that is great for you and a date or the whole family. Personal Favorite: Sesame Chicken.
Sawaddee Thai Cuisine
If you are looking to spice up your night, this eatery is for you. You can find different curries, stir-fries & other Thai specialties served in a cozy bistro. You can eat at their restaurant downtown on High St. or visit their second location on Missouri Blvd.
Sapphires Restaurant & Lounge
While you eat their local favorite, fried pickles, you can grab this penthouse view of downtown Jefferson City. Take your date here to capture that perfect romantic sunset.
